I've been duped

I've been boasting to everyone about how well behaved my new cat is.

"She doesn't beg for food or go anywhere near the kitchen worktops."

Made a batch of pastry last night and didn't clean the flour away.

Went into the kitchen this morning to find a trail of incriminating paw prints leading from the sink, over the hob, back to the sink then over to the worktop where Madam's food is kept.

That'll learn you! Grin

(I wonder what else she's been up to that doesn't leave paw prints.)

I know... She was being unusually rambunctious last night, even after her evening play session. Had to boot her out of the bedroom at 1 AM as she just would not settle.

Tempted to get a kitty cam now.

My two are clever enough not to get on the work surfaces when I'm busy around the kitchen. But sometimes in the evenings when the lights are low and I'm parked quietly mumsnetting they forget I'm there and hop up!! Then they look so surprised when I puff at them! Grin

I found the stable cat today on the brew room worktop. Fine, she usually eats her food there
Head in a bag, licking the butter off someone's cold toast Grin
This is the feral cat (massively mis advertised), that thinks humans are merely there to carry cats around all day
