Moving two cats to new house

I've just moved my two 6 year old cats to our new home. Fortunately have been able to do a staggered move, so all our furniture is nearly all in the new house before I moved the cats in today.

Has anyone got any tips for settling them into their new home and when/how we should let them out?

I'm letting them roam the house at the moment (external windows / doors shut!). My girl cat seems fine and is busy washing herself on the stairs, but my boy cat has got the hump and is sulking behind the sofa.

Sounds ok to me!.

You can go down the route of plug in feliway & zylkene sprinkled in their food OR just be matter of fact about it "we live here now & you two have a really cushy life so no complaining".

Keep them in for four weeks though so they know where home is & don't forget to update their microchip details with the chip provider.

I apologise for sounding old fashioned but butter on their paws and keep them in a whole month worked for us.

I've just moved with my old boy and he's settled after 3 weeks. We use the pet remedy plug in and have spoilt him with new toys as am not planning on letting him out.
