Which flea/worm treatments do you use for your cat?

Oh and where do you but them from? Any recommendations? Thanks!

If you have a kitten, best to let the vet prescribe after a check-up, so the right doses of each are prescribed. You can then ask your vet to write out a prescription and then buy online.

I know my cats' weights, and order Advantage (fleas) and Drontal (worms) from petmeds.

Stuff sold in supermarkets and pet shops is pretty useless, and sometimes downright dangerous - Bob Martin for example. Fleas have become immune to Frontline.

Thanks for replying.

I already know his weight so that's fine. The vet wants to charge me £13 a month for flea and worm treatment so I want to find an alternative.

I've just looked up advantage, but it doesn't treat ticks. Do you use something separate for that?

The best product for fleas, ticks and all worms is Broadline which s prescription only. You can get a written prescription from your vet (they will charge) and then buy on line.

That's the one the vet had previously been using. I didn't realise I could buy it online with a prescription. Thank you. Smile
