Rescue cat so no-one really knows how old she is but probably about 15.
Maybe a year or so younger.

Wasn't expected to live for all that long when we brought her home 5 years ago but she's had a happy life. A few years ago, her kidneys started to deteriorate and she went onto a prescription diet (though she now has Lilys - pricey but it's got the herbs that have made a big difference and it's grain free. Her kidney function has improved a lot).

About 9 months ago, we noticed a lump between her nose and eye - turned out to be cancerous. Vet said put an ointment on it daily, keep it clean. She'll be OK for some time to come. Last few days, we've noticed that the lump is rather enlarged and that she's bleeding in that area. Not sure if the tumour has opened or if it's the effect of scratching.

She doesn't seem to be in pain but I'm having to wipe blood away several times a day.

Time for the vet again. They said there was nothing that could be done about the tumour but the bleeding is obviously a worry.

She could now be open to infection or it could be even more serious. Any experience of this or any thoughts? Thanks - wish it was Monday already when the vet's open.
