My cat's op next week.... stupid question

She's only having a couple of teeth out but the vet has told us to not feed her after 7pm the night before & to take her water away at 7am on the morning of the op.

Stupid question - can I give her a couple of Dreamies to entice her into her carrier or is that a bad idea? Does no food mean absolutely nothing?!

I wouldn't give anything at all as there is a risk of vomiting under anaesthetic which could be very bad news.

The no food is to reduce the risk of vomiting under anaesthetic. A couple of dreamies shouldn't make too much difference and reducing stress by not wrangling her into the carrier isn't a bad idea, but a better solution would be to leave the carrier out from now until the morning of the Op and put a nice bed in it and some treats so she learns it's a safe place over the next few days and doesn't need to be enticed in on the morning if the op
