My cat slept on me for the first time ever!

We've had bin cat for 10 months and she is between 18 months and 2 years old. She's a rescue cat.
She likes to be near us but has never sat on a lap before.
I am now very happy - humour me fellow crazy cat ladies.
Last night we put her favourite thing to sit on on the sofa and she came and curled up on it right up against me. Then last night she came and stood on my tummy, made puddings, then curled up and slept for a couple of hours.
It has made me so happy!

One of my ex strays chose to sleep on me last winter ( I let them live outside for the summer, they come home every evening for their tea)

I'm hoping she'll be just as affectionate this year when she comes in for the winter next weekend.

Awe that's lovely. I've had my rescue cat for 4 months and just this last week she's started laying her head on my leg whilst sleeping on the arm on the sofa, I was bursting for the loo the first time she done it and didn't want to move so just crossed my legs.

That's wonderful for you, and for bin cat.

Its taken about 5 years for one of my rescues to come and sleep on my lap. The other one will lie down on my lap for a few minutes at a time, very occasionally, but is never completely relaxed. It is lovely to know that they finally feel safe enough to do so.
