Sprats - are they ok for kittens?

As some of you might know, as well as my three cats, I've unintentionally acquired a feral mother cat and her three kittens. I've decided to continue feeding them once a day but currently my cat food bill is just ridiculous.

Yesterday I bought about 20 sprats - you know, those small silver fish - and they cost about £1! The kitties went wild for them with a bit of dry food.

Just wondering if they are an acceptable food for 3 month old kittens? My wallet is very much hoping so.

They are not a complete food and should be fed as a small proportion of the kittens' diet.

Right - would one a day be too frequent? Or should I jut stick to dry food only?

Personally I would feed either a complete balanced raw diet or only a complete commercial diet.

What about aldi dry food? Have you got an aldi?.

I think the checkoutsmart app has an offer on cat food atm.
