Screaming frog!!??

MKitten just came bounding down the stairs, after something. The thing screamed! Shock

It was a frog, I didn't know they did that! But what was it doing upstairs? Did one of the cats take it up there? It didn't have a mark on it. Smile I released it into the churchyard opposite. No ponds that I know of round here.

Yes frogs do scream - my old cat had a penchant for them - never pleasant Thanks

Optimist1 · 13/10/2014 18:51

Yes, indeed. I wish I had a £ for every frog I've had to retrieve from under the bed (being the only person in the family who could bear to pick one up). The screaming is horrid, isn't it?

RubbishMantra · 13/10/2014 18:56

It really freaked me out! It sounded very human-like!

Yes screaming frogs are freaky but I think cats don't eat them only play with them as they taste yuk!

And the thing is, we have a walled courtyard garden, so did one of the cats jump over the wall with it... or is it possible that it came out of the drain in the garden? Confused

Possibly the drain, or they live in the greenery after a cats bought them back.

Mantra kitten must feel like Charlie big potatoes now he's caught a frog.

I know this is random but my brother and I once dug up a live newt in our garden, a good 3 ft down!!!
Frog could have been dropped by a bird?! Or your ninja cat hauled it over the wall.

Lovesabadboy · 13/10/2014 22:43

It is a horrible sound, isn't it?!

Our cat kept finding frogs in the undergrowth in the summer and would just sit and pat them gently.
Instead of boinging away, the frogs would just sit there and scream!

The scenario could have gone on all afternoon unless I had gone out and shoo'd the frog away!

RubbishMantra · 13/10/2014 23:35

Yes, poor frog placed it's little hands over it's eyes! Like, I can't see the scary predator, so therefore it doesn't exist...

Yes Fluffy, he's been larging it about the place ever since. Ribbit scream!

H went through a frog stage a few years ago. I found a couple bleeding out indoors minus a leg...
