Gee. I feel so loved.
I'm glad you said that though, as one website said it can be due to stress and she doesn't seem very stressed.
She eats dried food from a hopper. Occasional wet food too. Since our other cat died over a year ago, we've been trying to set the hopper so that it gives her the right amount of food. It has been dispensing too much and she hasn't kept up and she's left the food bowl full. She stopped going to the hopper when it dispensed food, as she knew there was always food there. So last weekend DH switched it down so she gets less food and now she eats it all up and runs to the hopper to get fed.
I'm trying to think of any change of routine...I gave her worming tablets on Wednesday while DD held her. Then DD gave her some wet food.
She's an only cat, yes. She has a cat flap and comes and goes as she pleases (but will beg for a door or window to be opened if a person is in sight.)
She sleeps in my bed, or on my windowsill.
When DH is here at weekends she sometimes sleeps on me, on him, or between us, or at the bottom of the bed, with one of the DCs or on a chair somewhere.
She likes to play fetch and will bring me a toy for me to throw for her to return to me. She likes playing outside, chasing leaves and squirrels. She likes people and is friendly with women and children. It takes a little longer for her to trust men. Maybe because DH is so often not here and she misses him. (She stomps around his side of the bed and cries.) She growls at the postie though.
She'll come when I call her. Ive moved downstairs to have my coffee and called her from the window to her least favourite sofa. She purred while i picked little scabs off the tip of her head and now she's curled up beside me asleep.
