My boy cat has ear mites and they're really making him suffer. He's making himself cry out when scratching them. Already have ear drops but he's so sensitive about his ears it's high on impossible to get them in. I'm waiting until he's asleep but the second the lid is off the bottle, he smells it and then does a runner. A couple of times I've managed it but then he doesn't come near me for a while. Tried holding him while DP does it but not keen on that method - I'm fairly keen on keeping my arms and GoldenCat hates it.
Do you either have any tips for getting the drops in his ears or alternatives I could try. Ordered his flea treatment off VetsUK and saw one that is topical and claims also to treat ear mites. Do you know if that kind of product is effective? Going to the vets next week but in the meantime, advice is greatly appreciated.
