I think tabby cat is trying to bump off the others

I have 4 rescue cats. I didn't want any of them but I couldn't say no to any of them either and they're all my babies now.

They normally all live together in harmony and have for years, although tabby cat and fat cat give an indignant hiss if feral kitten or ragdoll cat get too close while playing.

Anyway, today I was lay in bed with tabby cat having a cuddle, when feral kitten walked over. Tabby cat gave a hiss and feral kitten walked away into the hall, looking through the bannister railings.

No word of a lie, tabby cat sneaked off the bed, and crept up to feral kitten on 3 legs, with one paw sticking out at the side, got behind feral kitten then pushed her through the bannister railings and down the stairs! Shock

Then, later in the day, fat cat was just about to walk down the stairs and tabby cat did the same to her! Although she didn't manage to push her anywhere because fat cat is very very fat. But still.

I've never seen such underhand behaviour!

Ha ha ha ha great description! Sounds like you're right!

Glory be - a homicidal cat? I'm thinking you ought to rename her but I'm not sure to what.

Our girl cat is very good at getting swipes in etc. to get her own back on boy cat. He still loves playing but is huge and usually wins!

I don't think she's playing, feral cat and ragdoll cat play and she stalks past them looking at them with disgust.

You can almost see her muttering "peasants" under her breath as she stalks past to sit in the window looking beautiful after an intense grooming session.

She hasn't pushed ragdoll cat yet, but he is the size of a small dog so maybe she won't push her luck that far?

Oh I think it's possible once she hones her skills. Ragdolls are huge but he might not (apologies to your lad) be quite as blessed in jungle survival skills as a tabby.

RandomMess · 20/09/2014 21:33

Oh my girl isn't playing when she swipes, it is def her trying to assert herself!!!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/09/2014 21:41

Good grief, your poor cats!. They'll have to keep an eye on her!.

Your post reminded me of something one of my friends said about MCat. MKitten had been dancing past him, and getting some fast slaps in. MCat took it for a while, then just walked after him very slowly, watching him intently. Then sat next to MKitten, whilst giving off an air of quiet menace.

We decided that if MCat were human, he would speak in a slightly sinister Spanish accent. Women would be strangely drawn to him, but afraid to be left alone with him. If sat next to him at a party, you'd feel a sense of unease, yet also slightly thrilled. In his spare time, he would dedicate himself to serial killing, stalking his victims slowly, secure in the knowledge they could never escape him.

I'd like to meet him!

Don't stand near the stairs though. You'll give her ideas.
