Cat safe mouse traps?

Does anyone know of any mouse traps that are safe to use with a cat in the house?

Our cat has suddenly taken to bringing in mice over the last few weeks, having never shown much interest before. He has managed to let a live one loose somewhere downstairs and I want to get rid of it before we have any more appearing ideally! He hasn't shown any useful signs of finding it again hence thinking it is time to out traps down.

I am currently 32 weeks pregnant and DH is away with work so I am in a right flap wanting to get rid of it, perhaps a tad over reacting but it doesn't take much to set me off these days!

A lot of traps seem to involve unsafe mechanisms for other animals. Can anyone recommend any that are safe to use with a cat?

Any of the humane traps are best - for both the cats and the mice concerned! For some reason my paste button isn't working so I can't link. Just google 'humane mouse traps'. The mouse walks in, the door closes, you then release the mouse somewhere outside the house

Thank you, I have bought a few in case his current mouse fascination continues!
