What needs to happen when my boycat returns home?

I know some of you are aware that my boycat disappeared 4.5 weeks ago. I do still have faith he will return to me & when he does, what should I do in those first few hours?

My primary concern (after feeding him some lovely chicken Grin ) is fleas as his treatment will have run out. If he's got fleas, how quickly will a flea treatment work? I'd rather him not have the run of the house until I know he's had some treatment & if he returns in the middle of the night then I won't be able to get him to the vets.

And should I be concerned over anything else - apart from injuries of course?

I know this all theoretical but I'd like to be prepared for the happy possibility...

Thanks Flowers

Aaw I hope you see him soon.
If you're using the kind you drip on the back of his neck it'll have instructions on it, but they work fairly quickly.
You might check his teeth - sometimes when cats go missing their teeth get a bit damaged.

Use advocate, I found frontline etc no longer works and vet said it's an out of date treatment. For us it worked in a couple of days with lots of hoovering (carpets not cats!) and flea combing as well.
