I posted a little while ago about a cat that has adopted us. I am fairly sure it has another house somewhere.

It's a nice cat, in good health. We haven't found out where it's primary family lives. We don't feed it but it spends a lot of time here.

So far, no problem.

Except, it has fleas.

AIBU to flea-treat it ?

Indorex isn't the only spray you can use indoors on the carpets and soft furnishings. Johnsons 4Fleas household spray (no experience of the fogger) works just as well and is cheaper.

Any it could very well be one of mine, except the tart sociable one is short haired and his less sociable brother is the long haired one. During the summer, they both had fleas but they were worse with the long haired one - we treated them but always found fleas when we combed him. There was an epidemic of them, I think, and he picked them up every time he went outside.

I appreciate your annoyance, but I would say don't treat the cat unless you speak to the owners/confirm with the vet that he is not chipped. An overdose of flea treatment could be dangerous.

We use the Indorex when we had an infestation and it worked well, and protects the carpets for a year.
