So I was due to rehome two sisters this weekend, coming from a lady who had had them since kittens and they were obviously very close. Found out today that one was killed this morning on the road. I am devastated and can't stop crying.

She still needs to rehome the remaining sister and of course I am still happy to take her, but I have no idea how she will be or whether I should try and find a playmate for her or if that will be absolutely the worst idea I could have.

I'm also thinking should she stay in her home for another week until she comes to hers or would it be better to just come to mine and have the stress in one lump.

It was just Sod's law that the cat that has been killed was the cat who was the most well adjusted and friendly. The remaining cat is timid and least able to probably deal with this.

I just can't believe how unlucky we have been to lose the cat when it was just on the brink of living somewhere with a far safer road.

Seniorboy was antisocial until he came to live with me - and at an advanced age as well.

Give the remaining girl a new loving home.Smile

She is about 4 years of age. I don't know whether I should think about getting an older kitten or something who would (hopefully) be placid.
