Ok I've had it with them !

I have 6 cats ranging from 4months to 3years , they are all the right weight for their age etc .

My problem is why the hell are they always so hungry , they get fed properly yet they are always begging for more or rooting in bins I can't even leave any food on the side for a second else they will take it & when they eat it's as though they have never been fed before

I wormed them two weeks ago so it can't be worms , can it ?

They all get Two pouches a day & constant access to fresh biscuits .

I'm at my wits end with them to be honest & I just don't know what to do

Not sure about the older ones but for the 4mo old twice a day won't be enough. It would need to be 4 times a day, down to 3 times a day by 6mo.

What are you feeding them currently? Cat food with low meat content (Felix, Whiskers, etc) will make them more hungry as they won't feel "full up" as they lack the proper nutrients.

Mine has four pouches but won't touch biscuits.

I could give them 8 pouches a day & they would still be the same .

They are on Aldis own as that is the only one that agrees with them all

Do the big ones push the little ones out?

Go on, try an extra pouch each.

Ours eats more in the winter.

I'll try them again , but last time they still just wanted more

This sounds odd but Loki seemed to be less hungry I between meals when he is fed something with a meaty consistency. He was on natures menu pouches and Lily's kitchen foil tubs but seemed to be always asking for more food.

I've switched him over to Om Nom Nom Nom tind, Grau tins and Mac's tins now. Although he eats the same amounts as before, he seems a lot less hungry.

Our 2 cats were 'addicted' to pouches and constantly wanted more as you describe. This is when they were young ie around 4 months.

They have been much better on the Asda own tins of catfood (in jelly) alternating with the James Wellbeloved dried food (tis expensive but does fill them up).

I think that basically the pouches don't contain a lot of food, but they do have some strange catnip-like substance in that makes the cat want more!

Going to head to Pets at home at some point today to see if I can find something with a high meat content to see if that works

Natures menu and the pets at home purely have a high meat content.

Hi life is good too.

Try one that's advertised as grain free, as they have less filler you normally get a higher meat content.
