Odd cat behaviour

My 10 year old Birman is behaving very strangely. Loud miaowing when she is outside , we have a cat flap but she won't come in very often . During winter she was inside all time but has been outdoors day and night . She'll come in for food but is not eating very much.
I came home from work today , it was pouring with rain and she was outside trying to keep dry under the bushes. I tried to get her I'm but she ran off again miaowing loudly. She has never been a particularly affectionate cat and has not bothered much with us . do I need to take her to the vet?

I'm assuming she's neutered? (Because that almost sounds like the behaviour of a cat in heat.)

Any chance of a local interloper getting into your cat flap?

Has she a present for you hidden somewhere?

yes she is neutered.
other cats do occasionally get through the cat flap.

Maybe a cat interloper has scared her in some way
