MKitten is to be neutered tomorrow. Obviously rationally I know this is of course for the best, but still have The Fear. Sad

He and MCat (both boys) spend most of their time doing rufty-tufty together, which they both enjoy lots. Sometimes this becomes quite violent and elicits squawks.

Can anyone advise me if/how I should keep them apart, and for how long? My house is pretty open plan, so only option would be stashing post-op MKitten in a bedroom.

Also, I can't recall if stitches or glue are used for neutering now.

TIA

He crashed as soon as we took him up to bed! Smile Slept right through. When I woke up he was asleep on his back, so took an opportunity to have a look at his wound - not to bad. No swelling or weeping I could see. He's going in for a follow up appointment tomorrow.

MCat still being hissy/growly, so will pop MK in my bedroom with his tray, food, water etc. as I'm off out for a bit. Just to be on the safe side. I hope this doesn't cause a rift between them. Sad

That's good - I thought he'd crash earlier but maybe all he needed was the quiet and the safety of your bed.

MC should be OK as soon as he gets used to the fact that MK isn't 'weird' anymore. Give it a day or so.
