My kitten hasn't come home for 36 hours...

and I'm.so worried abd upset.

She is such a friendly and adorable cat. I'm torn between thinking she's found another home where she's happier (and I feel so sad and rejected, but hapoy is she is), or she's stuck and/or hurt somewhere.

Willow's about 7 months old. She's had her jabs but not been neutured yet-she only stayed in the garden so I didn't see the need. I've been around the neighbourhood calling for her and asked door to door but no sightings since I last saw her.

She's our first cat so I don't know what's normal behaviour. Is this normal for a female of her age? Any advice gratefully received, thank you

Hopefully she's found a nest of mice to eat. But unfortunately she could have found a mate & is mating.

Focus on getting her back & neutering her ASAP. Is she microchipped?

EnlightenedOwl · 09/08/2014 20:56

She will come back at some point but very likely expecting kittens unfortunately. Unless she has wandered that bit too far and may not be able to find her way back.

if you are on FB post a status and ask friends to share it with a photo if possible. post on local selling pages as well.

hope she turns up. and when she does- straight to vet to be spayed.

DiaDuit · 09/08/2014 20:58

oh and like/follow all the local vets on Fb and post on their pages too.

poorincashrichinlove · 09/08/2014 20:58

gggr pesky phone.

she is chipped fluffy. Do females go awol if they fibd a mate?

She may of been locked in a shed or garage, sounds weird but hang some dirty washing or her bedding outside as she may have lost the sent of home. Hope you find her

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2014 21:01

Ok, chipped is brilliant.

If you ring all the local vets & leave her description plus the rescue centres & sadly, the local refuse dept. If a dead cat is reported they dispose of them.

Hopefully she's just having fun and will be back but keep calling her & walking the streets looking.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2014 21:02

They can go AWOL, they ovulate after mating so she may not have had a season yet.

poorincashrichinlove · 10/08/2014 10:08

Yippee we have found her. Thanks for all your help. She's at the vets. DH has just gone to collect her. Keeping her indoors forever for a while now

Thank heavens for that!.

Now get her spayed because next time she might not be so lucky. There's a much higher chance of being killed by a car when they aren't neutered.

thecatneuterer · 10/08/2014 11:17

Exactly what everyone else said. She needs neutering this week. We recommend neutering at five months. I'm very glad she's back.

DiaDuit · 10/08/2014 11:19

Yay! Glad shes back OP. my boy is almost 6 months and due to be neutered so this is my fear once i start letting him out.
