I'm so pissed off. I booked my cat in a cattery a few weeks ago from today as dd and I are going away for 2 weeks.
I called the cattery on Wednesday to make sure that he was booked in and they said he wasn't. I write the name of the cattery in my diary AND the directions so I wasn't making it up.
My neighbour is going to feed him and cuddle him( she is also my cm and he is always in her garden anyway) and my dad will come in and cuddle him but I'm concerned.
Last time I went away for a few says he did a dump in the porch! I'm so annoyed with the cattery as was too late to book elsewhere.

As long as he has food and shelter he'll be fine. Access to his usual territory (your house) even better and also human company.

Our elderly moggy (inherited) has never been to a cattery so when we went a away we stuck him on the feeder for a couple of days then parents came up to moggy-sit and finally restocked the feeder.

Worked fine. Moggy tried to befriend a neighbour (he has previous, thus inherited Hmm ) but other than that was fine. We're a bit sad, in that we have a moggy cam that shows whether his food has opened and been eaten via iPhone.

Ours if extremely independent & brings frequent gifts. Touch wood he's never brought one while we're away (albeit if they're not accepted he does tend to eat them Envy

Does he have a cat flap into your house? Ours does so while he dislikes suitcases (knows what's coming) he can maintain his usual snoozing spots while on feeder and also when we have cat-sitters in.

I'm sure he'll be fine. We have a cat sitter who comes in twice a day for Harry as I'd rather he was in his own home than in a cattery.
