...about month ago we were offered a rescue kitten and you cat knowledgeable people advised that we wait until we get back from our holiday.

Well, we are home and picked up our now 4 1/2 month old kitten yesterday.

He is settling in better than I could have hoped for already sitting on our laps and purring loudly.

I am trying not to be to jealous that his preferred lap is DSs

Thank you for all your advice....

He looks very at home already. Are you a first-time cat slave?

Sixgeese · 03/08/2014 19:46

Yes, before the DC I had cat sat for my sister for about 6 months though while she was doing lots of building work (moving walls etc), but that was all.

Every one told me that he would hide for a few days, but he is very chilled out.

The main problem I have is stopping the children constantly cuddling him.

He has cried for his siblings a couple of times, he is from a 5 cat household after being found in a suitcase as a baby, but seems relaxed as the Master of this one.

He's got all four paws under the table hasn't he? He's got massive ears like my cat. He's obviously very confident of you all.

It's a bit galling when you want to have the cat on your lap but he's chosen a favourite. Or so dh tells me.

What a beautiful boy, he has very similar markings to my cat who was also a little stray kitten when we took him in.

glad he is settling in so well Smile
