My Dad's kitty went missing......

Dad (aged 80) rang yesterday to say his beautiful girl cat, Willow hadn't been seen since Friday. I went there straight away to search but after an hour with no sign, came home.

I spent the evening making posters & flyers, printed them at work today & headed back to Dad's to put them up with my boys. We had only just finished when my phone rang- a lady said a cat matching Willow's description had been knocked down by a car & someone had dumped her body in a black bag & dumped her in a nearby alley. She had seen the bag.

We wandered to where she said she had seen it & found a bag stuffed under the undergrowth. In it was the beautiful Willow. She may have been my Dad's cat but I chose her for him & I have her sister.

We buried her in my Dad's garden- me & DTS (15) sobbing.

Sleep tight gorgeous girl. We love you & miss you.

Oh how sad. I'm really sorry for you and your Dad. Poor Willow. At least that lady did a kind thing by telling you about the bag, but such an awful thing to have happened.

how is your Dad - she must have been great company for him?

That sad, my neighbours found my cat dead in their garden today. I had had her since the moment she was born. I hadn't seen her since last Tuesday.
I kind of know how you feel tonight

So sorry YouveCat , losing a feline companion is so hard. I have lost a few of my own & it has knocked me for six.

Willow is slightly different because I only saw her every few weeks, but she still had a place in my heart.

My Dad is doing OK. He's quite a cold, unemotional person but he did love her. Fortunately he still has Willow's brother, Edmund to keep him company.

Poor puss :( At least you found her and know what happened I suppose.

It's beyond my comprehension how anyone could put such a gorgeous animal (or any animal!) in a black bag and dump them in an alley Sad

So sorry for you, your Dad and your DTS OP - she was very beautiful. Flowers
