My neighbour's pregnant cat has gone missing

My arsehole neighbour bought a kitten less than a year ago. I found out yesterday that it has been missing for two weeks and is very pregnant (for the second time).

I'm so cross and sad for the little scrap. It's not even a year old. They aren't bothering to look for it as it "had fleas and the fleas kept biting the children".

I'm looking around for it, but our houses back onto woodlands which you can't access and a building site which you also can't get into.

Is there anything I can do to help find this poor little cat, or is too late?

I assume she wasn't chipped?

I would guess that she's gone off to have the kits somewhere - where is anyone's guess. If she's lucky, CPL will have found her and/or the kits and they should be safe. If she's not so lucky ...... well. You'll just have to keep looking out for her.

If she returns, would you take her in?

I' love to take her in but I have a very old FIV cat, so I could only foster her very briefly while looking for a new home.

It enrages me that they have been so irresponsible and cruel.

There are foxes in the woods so I doubt she'd stand much of a chance.

You'll probably find she has gone to give birth. But where is anyone's guess considering it will be a quiet secluded place.

If you are concerned about the cat try and get it re-homed they clearly don't care much for the poor thing.

If I find her, I will certainly try and get her regimes. I've looked on the local cpl site to see of she's been found, but nothing there yet.

I wish you had to have a bloody licence to own any pet. They just don't care at all.

Result! One of my other neighbours has adopted her. She has seven kittens this week! Eek.

Arsehole neighbours are swanning about pretending nothing happened.

Really hope tht new neighbour will look after them and get them neutered ASAP. Our local cats protection does it for free ATM, so I might go and stick a leaflet through their door.

She's only 8 month old and it's her second litter, so yes definitely poor cat.

I just hope the new people are kind to her.

That could be good news - so long as they have her neutered and take full responsibility. I've known people to "take in cats" but be in denial that they are actually their pets. It is kind of like having the fun of a pet but without the responsibility.
