Flea treatment for a 6 week old kitten?

Asking for a friend;

Which, if any, flea treatments can be used on a 6 week old kitten?

I use advantage on my cat, that works well and I first used it when I got her at 12 weeks. Not sure if it can be used on a much younger kitten though?

Any ideas?

My cat's first flea treatment was done at the vets at about 8 weeks, they took him to another room and sprayed him all over, not sure what with. He was slightly sticky and spiky and they warned me he would be highly flammable for 24hrs!

Thanks.

I think she is going to take her along to the vets.

Yes, Frontline spray(not the spot on!) is the only thing safe for a small kitten. That will be what the vet used.

For a tiny kitten, you can bathe them in a bowl. Have a flea comb handy. The fleas will travel to the top of the kitten's head. Then you can comb them off and crush them. No chemicals on the baby.
