Yours is the one where you can only see the backside? Smile

Have you got anything around the place or is this your first cat?

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/06/2014 07:52

Poor mum cat, it must have been hard getting enough food as a stray to produce kittens.

Well done for having the black one! You've got 8 weeks until you can take it from mum so plenty of time to buy litter trays and bowls.

My friend is a lovely person.. you know one of those truly good, kind people.. mama cat must have sensed that about her and trusted her to take care of her and her babies.

I know about having a litter tray and food bowls.. what's the best kind of food? what about a bed? will it prefer to sleep with me? and will it need a private space to retreat to? Toys?

The CPL apparently will spay/neuter/vax/chip for free cos of them being offspring of a stray

More piccies.. 5 days old now :o

Lovely pics, what a beautiful mummy cat. That's lovely of you to choose the little black one. Does he/she have a name yet?

CillaBlacksOrangeBouffant · 20/06/2014 09:50

No name yet... I'm thinking Ethel for a girl and Nigel or Roger if it's a boy :o

Not sure if my friend will keep mama cat.. if not I'd love to have her too cos she's so beautiful

Any of those would be great.

Will the CPL spay Momma Cat for free as well?

CillaBlacksOrangeBouffant · 20/06/2014 10:16

Yes they will.. but have to wait a few weeks.. I guess until she finishes feeding the babies?

Yes - until they're weaned. (But warn your friend to keep an eye on her because she may want to get out and party even though she has small kits. The spaying should take care of any subsequent issues but you don't need her getting all stupid and running straight across roads without looking because she sees a handsome bit of stuff on the other side!)

angelopal · 20/06/2014 19:31

Tell your friend not to let her outside at all until she has been neutered. Our last cat adopted us when pregnant and we let her outside before she was finished weaning so before we could get her done. She ended up pregnant again straight away! After that she was kept inside until she finished weaning the 2nd litter.

Your friend is lovely, mumcat looks very tiny, bless her. Enjoy your kitten Smile

sadiekillmouski · 21/06/2014 00:22

I have a black cat named Nigel! Nigel Killmouski...black fur, black nose, black paw pads. Nigel is the blackest black kitty God ever made...

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/06/2014 07:19

The kittens have very striking markings don't they? Usually it's black with white socks and belly but they look spotty.
