My cat is weird because...

He's started being fussy with his food.
I'm thinking this is because he knows I've just bought a month's worth
Last 2 days he's refused all food
Today the food was put on a plate rather than in his bowl which was mysteriously knocked off the shelf where I feed him

He's wolfed the lot down

Bowls are obviously beneath his majesty!

My cat is weird because ... she overthinks catflaps. She is convinced that if it pushes from one side it must pull from the other. This once led to her getting stuck inside the lovely new cat tray. She was very frazzled by the time we noticed and got her out and had to have a sardine and a big cuddle. We took the door off after that.

She's 22 now and just shits wherever the fuck she likes. Problem solved Hmm

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/06/2014 20:05

POP Well she's doing her best, what more do you want ? Grin

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 13/06/2014 20:28

I want her to shit in the fucking tray!

As revenge I make her 'sit like a dog' (yes, those exact words) before she gets her dreamies. She's quite good at that.

Jenda · 14/06/2014 00:34

He cries and cries and cries when he comes home wet, but tries to bite us if we attempt to dry him
Hmm

AnotherStitchInTime · 14/06/2014 00:41

He dunks his tail in the bath water, but then thinks something is attacking his tail once he takes it out and chases it round and round trying to get rid of it.

RestingGenius · 14/06/2014 00:47

Haha Jenda mine does that too.
And he insists on checking if it's raining at the front door too and then gets really angry and turns round and bites my leg when it is!

Jenda · 14/06/2014 01:10

Haha they can be ridiculous. Mine gets obsessive about me being in the bath and walks along the edge before throwing himself onto the bathmat and waiting quietly until I get out. Absolute disregard for privacy

FrancesNiadova · 14/06/2014 10:16

Mine begs toast or pieces of cake.
When I have a bath she sits on the side, puts her paws in & bats the water with them: she jumped in once!
She sits up & begs like a dog for dreamies & is learning to go round & round for them.
Oh & she's scared of the chickens.

OTheHugeManatee · 14/06/2014 10:23

Ours likes to stick her head under the bathmat while you tickle her tummy.

And is obsessed with running taps.

And plays Fetch with a wine bottle cork Hmm except she won't if it's a plastic cork.

CatsCantTwerk · 14/06/2014 10:26

My Cat is weird because he throws himself against kitchen cupboards literally stands up and just well throws himself when I am making food, It is rather funny.

He also climbs in peoples cars when they arrive, he is not fussy who and one day I can see him ending up 200m from home.

His favourite food IS........... Tomatoes and Cucumber! it is usually this food which makes him throw himself against cupboards.

There are loads more weird stuff he does he really is one of a kind but This picture here is definitely one of his finest Weird moments along with when he came home green (I should have posted it in litter tray not aibu) Grin

He has a twin brother who is normal but does not like men, he is obsessed with my dd and sits crying outside her door when she is at school.

pinkyredrose · 15/06/2014 09:14

cats I've never heard of a cat eating cucumber before!
Loving the link pics of his moustache Smile how the hell did he get that? ! And how did he come home green?!

SecretNutellaFix · 15/06/2014 09:31

I've learned never to hold a slice of chocolate cake anywhere near my girlcat. She stands on her hind legs, wraps her paws around your wrist and pulls the hand holding the cake to her mouth.

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 15/06/2014 09:31

Oh, let me count the ways!

..because she plays fetch with little pipe cleaner sticks.

...because she growls like a dog at the postman.

...because she will only use the cat flap after trying to get everyone in the house (including visitors) to open a door or window for her, and then she bashes her head against it 50 times at maximum volume.

...because she tells me loudly and at length when she thinks it will rain and again when it is raining. She doesn't like going out on a drizzly grey day but she does want to go out in a full on downpour with thunder and lightning, and wants me out there with her.

...because she waits until one of us has sat around for a bit and is just about to get up and tgen sits on us. She always picks up he person in the room who has the most urgent need to move. She can tell if we need to pee.

...If I open the back door and call for her, she will race over to me at a thumping speed and then stand and tell me something. (Long and loud) Whatever it is, it's clearly important to her and she thinks I understand.

RubbishMantra · 15/06/2014 20:02

Mine makes bwaork chicken noises. We think it's because when he was a kitten, DH kept chickens. He would let them come in through the catflap to share his food. This is a cat who hunted and killed like a demon, but he never harmed a feather on the chickens' heads...

He is terrified of any kind of packaging and tape measures.

New kitten likes to wash his paws, then wash everybody else's hands as well. So far he seems quite balanced without any neurotic tendencies, but we shall see... Hmm

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 16/06/2014 20:44

Ours used to make seagull noises (we get those around here) but less so since she has marked out all birds as enemies, especially the big ones.
