Male and Female kitten.... Problems?

Hi

We have decided to look into getting 2 kittens in the Autumn and would love to get two from a rescue at the same time.

What are the best combination of genders to get and if we got a boy and girl is there any risk of pregnancy if we got them done at 5 months? I don't want to risk babies :)

I'd get two males. Zero chance of babies.

i have a boy and girl broother and sister who 8 years later absolutely love each other, at around the 5 month mark jasper did start to show an interest in his sister so he went to the vets for neutering one week and his sister went to the same vets the next week for spaying result no kittens
