And we are still waiting on the arrival of the Dancing kittens, Calypso is keeping us waiting, though the signs are they will be born today. here

Poor kitten. Did you see the look of outrage when Shelley picked the kitten up to show the cam?

One stillborn and one healthy girl so far, I think. (No 3 on the way.) I had to go to bed, eventually.

Wow, no 4 has just come out! I've never seen a live birth so I'm slightly awed by this

Lovely, aren't they? I thought it was odd that the first two came together, and then there was a long gap (3 hours?) and now the second two. I love the little noises they're making.

That big ginger (boy?) is a real thumper!

One of them (no 3 I think?) is not so sturdy as the others.

Yes, she just weighed him and he is only 79g - she said that's the smallest she's had to deal with. I hope he starts feeding properly soon. At the moment he keeps falling off the nipple.

7 including Taps, the one who was still born.

She looks to have finished. 1 black with white socks/bib (I think), 1 black, 2 gingers, 2 tortie/calico. Unless she has any more hidden in there!

Bless her, she really looks quite knackered! Well done her!

Has Calypso got any sleep today, poor puss cat?

Catnaps. I hope Shelly managed some shut-eye - she was talking last night while being clinically asleep!

She looks to be flat out now - even with half of the kits fighting over one nipple!

Those ginger ones are a handful already.

They're going to be big bruisers I reckon. Look at the length of their bodies/bones.

I've never seen fights like it in kits who are less than a day old - and Mom is just sleeping away there.

The Hitchhikers are being let loose into the big room tonight.

The Dancing kittens seem to be doing well also - but for anyone who is in the slightest doubt about having their cat spayed or neutered, have a look at the live birthing video and see how much of a trial it is for Calypso.

FDJ is adopting Trillian.

That's Siamese/part Siamese for you - they get under your skin.

I recall my second last vet going on about how much he would have liked one. Unfortunately, he said, as the local vet he ended up with the ones no one else would have and thus far, no Siamese had ever been abandoned at his surgery.)

Trillian's clearly exceptionally adorable and must be even more so in person - his first foster fail (or 'foster win' as he called it) in 42 litters!

Wonderful. Ocelot maintained his composure really well - I'd have biffed him a lot earlier. (You see how Tao minded when the grown-up Siamese spoke?)

Ocelot was so patient! I love the video.

FDJ was close to a foster fail with Sulley, Addie and I think Ray or Egon as well - he had to give in at some point.
