Mr Cory has bum trouble

Hello all

Sorry to do this to you on a Sunday evening. Mr Cory, who is moulting like a good'un at the mo, has winnits attached to his furry behind. How in hell do I get them off? They've been there about a week and are getting more and more tangled.

I don't want to grab him and snip them off in case he thinks it's sexual assault. I have never touched his parts, poor little boy deserves some privacy.

All advice received with gratitude and thanks.

If it is a wide tooth comb gets it off, if its set you may need an electric beard trimmer.

I had this with furry Lionel.

Put dreamies in bowl.

Approach from behind with scissors while cat is engrossed in dreamies.

I think the problem with scissors there might be the same as for mats, murasaki. Lone said recently that she has several cats a year to stitch up seriously because owners had used scissors on mats - and if you had ingrained poo which was quite deep at the base of the fur, I can see that the potential dangers might be very similar.

I got some special scissors for doing just this from Amazon.

They have roundy bobble ends (technical!) so the chances of cutting the cat are minimised. I attack mine by snipping into the knot, so the blade doesn't get too close to his bum, and loosening it, so that he can usually get it out with normal grooming.
