yes we are idiots. we bought 2 kittens 14 months ago with paper work, wormed spayed at 4 months. we have kept them as house/ indoor cats. they do go out into enclosed/ fenced garden. we didn't think they could get out. but obviously cat 1 did. its now pregnant.

what the hell do we do???
kittens ? its young 16 months how many will it have?
what do we do with them ? sell keep? wtf do we do??

how pregnant is the cat? you could have her speyed if its not too late on. Cats protection league could be able to help find new homes. How on earth did they pull that one over on you? speyed at 4 months? oh dear :) Do please rehome via a rescue as they will ensure that they get neutered and not add to the unwanted pets problem. Are they both girls?

Get back in touch with whoever you bought it from and raise hell!

It's impossible to say how many she will have, from memory first litters tend to be on the small side so you might only have one or two.

Have you taken her to the vet? She's definitely pregnant? I'd make an appointment to get her spayed as soon as the vet says it's safe to do so after she has her kittens and I'd also be sending the bill to the original seller....

I would strongly advise having her spayed/aborted now. Unless she is about to have them next week say then it really would be best all round - for you, for all the unwanted cats in the world and most definitely for her too.

She is not young, you are lucky you have got this far without a litter. Tail less wonder we think was 9 months old when she delivered her 5 kittens.
As others have said you can still have her spayed and you should assume the other one is not done.

Erm... this might be a stupid question but seen as you were told they were both spayed and you are convinced that she didn't escape, are you absolutely sure that you do have 2 females??

It is possible that the person who sold the kittens has sexed them wrong and if female wasn't spayed, likely that the other one has been done either so could possibly be the male that got her pregnant?

You said you have paperwork, are they pedigree if so are they registered?

Actually I just read your op again, you say you bought them after being spayed at 4 months, 14 months ago, so that would make them 18 months now.
but you say that they are 16 months old which would mean that they were 8 weeks (2 months) when you bought them in which case they would be far too young to be spayed or neutered.
