How can I deter neighbour's cat from pooing in my garden?

Two of our neighbours have cats, which frequently come into our garden to poo. I have a four yr old and a one yr old who love playing outside so this isn't ideal. Is there anything I can do?

In previous properties we have put woodchip down over flower beds, which has worked well, but these cats like to go right in the middle of the lawn!

Thanks

You could ask the neighbours whether they still use a litter tray and if so, whether they could put some of the litter in a corner of their own gardens so they will hopefully go there instead.

Otherwise, the only way we were able to stop cats pooing in our garden was to get one of our own Grin Sorry - probably not helpful!

Good idea, thanks! Our neighbours are all very nice so I don't want to look like a mad cat hating person!

Get a bengal, you won't see their cats again.

Hosepipe/water pistol. Stopped our cats pooing in the neighbour's garden!

arm your dc with water pistols/spray cans.
and use the garden a lot.
