Just thought I'd post this pic. Doing rather well I think!

by the way he has a very pink nose (other cat has dark nose!) do I need to worry about the sun in high summer? Is there such a thing as a cat safe sunscreen I could apply?

They just need a pitcher of pimms don't they?

cozietoesie · 12/04/2014 08:36

He looks happy as happy. (Is the other cat flopped out or watching him like a hawk, though? I can't rightly tell from the picture. How are they getting on?)

I don't know about the need for or possibility of sunscreen but I'm sure another poster will.

just after this picture was taken they both passed out and slept for about two hours in the sun....so I think all ok. After a bit Sam decided to re-arrange things.

Some cats are natural leaders and some are natural wingmen so I think it's probably panned out well for you - Sam looks like The Big Hotdog and your other cat is fitting in. That would be fine - they could both be perfectly happy with it.

Terrortree · 12/04/2014 11:18

I love how they think gravel makes a comfortable sleeping spot!

cozietoesie · 12/04/2014 11:25

Yes. I've never understood the places cats sometimes choose to sleep.

EnlightenedOwl · 12/04/2014 12:11

I was watching them ambling down the street together the other day; you could almost see Sam giving the orders as they divided up Jasper covering one side of the street himself covering the other side!

As I said, it can work fine. You might even find that Jasper would be more contented knowing that he had a Big Chum to take the flak when they were outside - if he's by nature a more peaceable sort.

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/04/2014 13:03

You can probably stop referring to him as the stray now.

EnlightenedOwl · 12/04/2014 14:38

Ha! Good point!
