As most of you know I am a cat loving vet. I am thinking of making some changes to my practice including times of the day with appointments exclusively for cats. We would see cats in other surgeries if it was urgent or if you couldn't make it to cat clinic.
Would you lovely ladies come to the vets at a fairly specific time slot if it was for a cat only clinic?

We had one cat who fell in love with a particular vet when she was in for a whole following an operation - and she was totally relaxed in any vet's surgery after that - she would curl up and go to sleep on the examining table . She also liked to chase dogs. Current cats, however, I live in dread of needing to take them to the vet as it has taken me the 2 months since we adopted them to get boy cat to let me pick him up, and girlcat wouldn't even let DS, who is her chosen person, pick her up. If I did have to take them, then anything which reduced the stress even a little would be welcome.

I don't worry about other species being in the vets but ours has separate waiting areas. It is big enough for it to work. If there wasn't enough space for the separate areas I think I would go to a cat only clinic....but more out of embarrassment at Luna growling at dogs!

Actually, any dogs in our practice's waiting room always look distinctly uneasy - I would swear they were almost asking 'Are you sure the door on that cat carrier has been closed properly, please?'
