Need some advice regarding cat poop!

Hello!

My neighbours have a cat and it keeps pooping in my garden (under my hedge). It wouldn't bother me but my dog keeps eating it (yuk), I have a 2 year old DS who loves to explore my garden and I am pg with DC 2.

Is there anyway to deter the cat from pooping which is safe for my DS, dog and obviously the cat too?

Thanks!

Get your own cat, it will see off next doors & poo in someone else's garden.

They like fresh dug soil so if you had very densely planted borders its less of a problem. No one wants to wee with a branch poking them up the bum.

Oh I would love to get a cat but DH isn't a fan. Will check my borders see if I can make them more compact.

Orange peel works for seeing off some cats, they dislike citrus.

Our cat shits in our own garden, so getting your own isn't necessarily the answer. We've got litter trays too. Twiggy cuttings and citrus peel seem to be a good deterrent.
