Will my cat get better

Was in vets overnite with temp of 40
Now down to 39 still not eating
He had drip with antibiotics last nite
They r keeping him in tonite too

Poor him.

What tests has the vet given him and what do they think might be wrong?

No one can say fir sure, but I'm sure vets are doing all they can. Try to stay positive and send him all your love.

No one can say for sure, but the vast majority do get better. The highest temperature I have seen in a cat was 43.2 and that cat got better. Remember their normal temperature is 38.6 so 40 is not nearly as high for them as it is for us.
