Cost of a kitten/cat?

Thinking of homing a couple of kittens but not sure what it would cost to look after them properly. How much would you need to allow for food, equipment, litter, vets bills etc.?

Don't want to risk getting them and then not be able to afford to keep them. Thinking of two so that they would be company for each other.

Cozie: I really don't know how many we've got. Too many to count that's for sure. And they're everywhere - in the toilet, in the office, in the drugs cupboard - everywhere. And the 'problem book' of urgent cases that need to come in is as long as your arm. And unfortunately kitten season has already started ...

Depends on age of kittens
I got my kitten aged 5 mnths she is 10 mnths now
Got her from cats protection which cost £60
Spent £130 in pets at home for cat bed, litter tray, litter, bowls, toys, and scratch post
She had had her injections
