Any vets here? Question about 4 month old kitten

My kitten is 4 months old and in the last day or so I have noticed on one side of his mouth his gums are a healthy pink but on the other side they are a greyish brow and there seems to be a small swelling.

He is eating and drinking as normal and seems happy.

In this situation would you wait a few more days and see if it goes away on its own or take him straight to the vet?

Thanks x
