Urine infection?

Female cat has just started straining to wee in tray in the last 50 mins and drops of watery blood on floor. She had similar last year and that was cystitis.

Waiting for emergency vet to call back.

Home from vets - antibiotic injection which will hopefully sort her out.

Thanks cozie; hate it when my pets are ill. She'll hopefully start to feel better soon.

Sorry, first time I've logged in to MN today!

She's much better thanks. Vet thinks it's because she's been using a tray instead of going outside. We've kept her in for a week because there are 3 toms hanging around ambushing ours & next door's cat even though both are spayed females.

Happens every year about this time. It's as if the females are still giving off 'available' vibes.
