Im currently been terrorised in bed by Lord Dustin my 9 week old kitten as he was crying when I put him to bed in the conservatory so I took pity on him and im now trying to hide my feet and failing miserably Hmm

My other 3 were never like this , not playful and not cuddly .
LD is the cuddliest & friendliest kitten I have ever come across .
He loves to sit on my knee or DPS and gives us a good wash.

Anybody else a sucker for their pets ?!

No, not at all....

looks at girl cat who is snuggled next to me under the duvet and boy cat who is currently sharing a pillow with DH

Only to a point. This evening I had to deal with a temper tantrum because dinner was homemade vegetable soup and Seniorboy is used to homemade chicken soup with large pieces of chicken in. If I'd given in and gone all soft/got chicken from the freezer it would have been the start of the primrose path.

You need a bit of a tough streak in you to live with a cat I think.

cozie he has mastered the puppy dog eyes so its hard to be tough with him Smile

Ah - but until that point is reached, I'm a right pudding!

He's wanting to go to his bed now and I'm getting The Paw together with a deep purr. I'll have to give in on this one.

You gave him a title as well as a name - yeah.

Last night, as you were typing probably, I was reading and had her Mistyness asleep head on my boob, paws up at my neck asleep and I needed a pee.

I waited and waited because I didn't want to disturb her.

I am a softy but DP is the softest, he's a total blokey bloke if you know what I mean but I hear him singing away to the cats, he had to go away for a few days recently and couldn't leave until 'his' cat had come in as he had to say goodbye. Littlecat is off getting spayed today and he was out buying her cooked chicken late last night for her last meal before she had to stop eating. Bless him.

We sit on the floor so as to avoid disturbing the cats stretched out across the sofa.

How the hell did we allow that?

Sheldonswhiteboard · 23/01/2014 17:34

terror we do that or all cram onto the smaller sofa so they don't get disturbed, I am bemused by it as am not a pushover in other aspects of my life.

FushandChups · 23/01/2014 18:12

Slightly over cooked dinner tonight as didn't want buzzer or opening of the oven to startle her (she was happily munching her dinner quite close by!)

Ridiculous as nothing stops her eating but just liked watching her Blush

I find my life gets immediately more efficient if I simply give in to Mr Cory all the time, and live entirely by his schedule.

He has his own chaise longue, four menu choices thrice daily, and first go on the duvet. He gets me up when he is hungry, allows me a light nap after lunch (when he takes his siesta) and insists we are in bed by 10 at night. A simple, soothing system of living.

AryaOfHouseSnark · 23/01/2014 20:15

Our cat - Mickey, is the queen of fucking everything in our house. Even the dts worship the ground she walks on. We have given up pretending that we are in charge.

Catsmamma · 23/01/2014 20:24

my OscarOrange is a real nuisance at night...he likes to sleep under the covers, but not have the covers resting on his ears

He doesn't like to be cold, but he also doesn't like to get too hot.

So he is in and out like a innyoutty thing all damned night....and as he gets out he has to nosey out the window and then he jumps back from the window and jars the bed.

Every night I say he has to stay on the end of the bed and every goddamned night I am turning and lying so his highness' ears are not flattened, or I am folding back the top of the covers so he can stay under the covers but not feel too hot...then I wake up freezing.

This is also the cat who managed to poke dh in the eye and shred his cornea.

I still
