Lost my impossible tabby girl today

She was fine a couple of days ago but went downhill so fast. Antifreeze poisoning. I miss her purring on my lap and tripping me up every time I walk past the fridge - always a special supply of chicken or ham in there and I am a soft touch. Had to make the terrible decision to pts but even though the vet said she was suffering and couldn't be helped I feel terrible for this. RIP Bob

Yet another death through antifreeze poisoning. There should be a campaign somewhere to change the taste at least. It's terrible how many cats fall foul to the sweetness.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words. Today has been horrible. I know it gets easier but there are just so many reminders and everywhere feels so empty. Will check with the police but I'm really hoping its accidental as the thought of someone setting out to cause suffering like that is unbearable.

So very sorry wax. What an awful way to lose a much loved cat. Sadly there are vile people out there who deliberately put out antifreeze with the sole intention of poisoning cats. Apparently antifreeze smells and tastes nice to cats. There is a campaign to get the manufacturers to add a bittering agent to repel animals.
