Can I ask you all to PLEASE microchip your cats.

I had to take a dead cat to be scanned today & I really hope it's chipped because it looked a very well cared for animal.

aww thats a shame poor cat all of mine are chipped, but when my BSH got run over and the council picked him up (found out 9 days later even though i rang them the day he disapeared) they dont have a scanner for microchips so they didnt contact me obviously, on the other hand the rescue i work at has reunited several cats with folorn owners through them being chipped

That is so sad Flufycloudland77 and I also hope the cat was microchipped. I had to take a dead cat to the vet several months ago and was so relieved that he did turn out to have a microchip. It was terribly sad for the family, but at least they had closure and the chance to lay him to rest appropriately.
