Vomiting cat

He was in the cattery for a couple of days - back yesterday morning. He had the squirts yesterday night. Fine all day today but has been sick twice in the last ten minutes.

He wants to go out but not letting him as there are far too many fireworks going off.

Any advice? Last cat used to sick up hair balls but this is his entire dinner, poor little thing.

Did they feed him differently to his normal stuff?

I don't think so. He has now curled up next to DH, bless him. Fingers crossed for no more sick.

I don't think a day goes by when I don't have to clean up a pile of cat sick from somewhere in the house (but then I do have a ridiculous number of cats). So cats vomiting isn't in itself a cause for concern. However if he keeps doing it, and if he can't keep any food down, and it's gone on for more than 24 hours, then he would need to see a vet. Also if he's looking generally ill and lethargic then you should get him looked at.

But if he seems ok in himself, it's only happened a couple of times, and he has eaten since and not vomited then I wouldn't worry.

And definitely you're doing the right thing by not letting him outside until you're sure he's OK. As you know ill cats like to run off and hide, and you don't want that.

He has gone out. Shit.

He had the massive shits before he went too.

I swear I have worried more about this cat than about both kids put together.

Just waiting for him to come home soon.

He's back. Thank God.
