Has anyone made their own catnip toys?

I wouldn't mind making some felt toys stuffed with catnip for my cats - they love the stuff!
Has anyone else tried this? If so, where can I buy catnip?

i buy mine from the rescue i work at theirs are hand made by a lovely lady i think she orders the catnip online

You've just reminded me I have a bag of 'nip on top of the fridge waiting to be made into mousies I got mine in sainsbo's a couple of months back.

I wouldn't use felt though - your cats will shred through it in no time. I'm using denim for mine and will probably do a double layer.
