The RSPCA spayed her. Is it possible it didn't work?

When was she last wormed?

I am not sure tbh but has been since we got her in June. I will check when I go and get her biscuits at the weekend.

My spayed cat does too and does every year. I got quite worried the 1st year! I think she just puts on weight for the winter and her coat gets thicker.

Good point! She is only a baby and you are probably right. A friend saw her yesterday and said she has put on weight since she last saw her. I hadn't noticed with seeing her every day and then this morning though, hang on. So yes, probably growing up (she isn't 2 yet) and with winter being here. Thank you Smile.

Is it possible she's a bit...chunky? I see that she's eating dried food - which is quite calorific so she might have put on some excess weight if she doesn't get enough exercise in relation to her food. (Speaking here as someone who once had an overweight kitten - Oh the shame!)

How much does she actually eat? And how much does she weigh?

my ginger girl used to turn into a little barrel in the winter monthsd because she wasnt going outside demolishing the wildlife so much as in the summer, she used to slim down again in the summer and the local mice and birds used to do what they could to keep away from her, so it might just be shes not getting as much exercise maybe get her one of those lazer pens or a dangly on a stick toy and make her work for her food a bit more

The biscuits are what the vet has recommended and I weigh her meals out each time so I know she is getting the right amount. She is around 3.5kg if I have read the vet's writing correctly.

The other day a mouse was brought in so they are doing the hunting and bringing in of gifts but not eating them Confused.

We play a lot with her. She was tiny when she came to us - had been abandoned Angry so maybe she is just catching up and does look like her coat is thicker too, I will weigh her later.
