hi all I have 2 13 month old kittens. they are brother and sister. the girl carly is donning really well and so is my boy Tom, but Tom doesn't seem to be growing.he is small and skinny compared to his sister. carly is quite a bit bigger than him. I would have thought that being a boy he should be bigger than her. they have both been neutered and worked last month. he seems to be eating ok. I'm just not sire if it's something I should be concerned about or not. Hmm thanks x

He might just be a small cat, did the vet say anything when he neutered them?

nope his size was right for his age then. they were both the same size until about 2 months ago. he just doesn't seem to of grown since then

Neutering can impair their growth but doesn't affect health. Imo males aren't always bigger but can be stocky. I think mine filled out a little in their second year but all three of my cats are entirely different sizes. I'm quite protective of the smallest one who I suspect was a r* (I don't like to say it as it sounds mean!) Do you know if he was?

i dont think he was the r*. maybe he will just be small i'll keep an eye on him and if he dont grow over the next few months i'll take him to the vets just to be sure

Bear in mind that an awful lot of cats and dogs are actually overweight (some significantly so) so be careful that your view isn't skewed by that.
