Cats and bags

Alfie has taken to sleeping on top of carrier bags or when I'm unpacking shopping he'll climb in an empty one and curl up and fall asleep. He's often trying to squeeze in to the kids bags to go asleep too.

Does anyone else's cat do this?

Ours sometimes sleeps in a paper bag on its side. She's also been known to sleep on top of empty plastic bag.

Most cats I've known have been keen to investigate bags of all kinds, and to sit on/in them if possible. My first foster cat liked to lick carrier bags - she was a bit of a strange one though.

Little, skitty, scared of her own shadow girl cat sleeps in/on carrier bags, handbags, any bag you can think of despite the crinkling noise they make.

Big (6.5kg) boy cat is terrified of them and will leg it out of the cat flap as soon as they appear Grin

Bags, boxes, on wrapping paper, paper, important documents, etc. I cut the handles on bags after once finding my cat with the cord of the blind wrapped around its neck. Freaked me out a little.

Our dining tables 7' by 3', our cat will automatically sit on a piece of paper lying on it.

Bonus points if I'm actually writing on it when he sits down.

boxes and bags have to be tested out for comfort factor here by the ginger hooligan and the half siamese thug the weirdest one at the moment is jasper he has decided that a 100 year old vegetable tureen with a thin tartan scarf in it is the place to sleep even though he has to curl up very small to fit, funny critters cats
