Our four year old female cat is loving, affectionate and always snuggles up with me on beds/sofas etc if she gets chance. But this week, when I'm at home recovering from a minor operation, she's preferred her own bed.

I was looking forward to some extra quality time with her!!!!! They're funny creatures, aren't they??

Who can tell what goes on in their minds sometime, eh? Maybe you're bit hot for her or smell a little odd if you're on meds. I'd reckon the extra heat myself if you're home, maybe with heating on and running a slight temperature. They can be quite sensitive to that.

Hope you recover soon, Petal, anyway.

Very contrary creatures aren't they. As soon as you recover she will be all over you demanding fuss.

I have 2 cats who have never been lap cats at all. Oddly one of them used to curl up to my belly as soon as I became pregant, even before I told friends and family. Once dd was born it never happened again. They are odd kitties but that's why we love them.

You need a dog. As pack animals they sleep when you sleep and a lap dog will happily snuggle up all day.
