Bald patches caused by over grooming

Thought I had cracked it, having managed to lessen small cats over grooming and put her on a gradual weight loss plan however, a minor flea attack ( treated )started her off on theovergrooming again and she now has a bald patch on either side of the top of her tail where it joins her body with a small strip on between ( it looks like a tiny Mohican!). I think she is the cat equivalent of a nail biter, is there something that is safe to put on her fur that will put her off long enough to break the habit?

only thing i could think of would be try a tiny bit of lemon juice as cats are not supposed to like citrus and its sour
