Cat has lump on her chest

Felt it as I was giving her a tickle. It's about 2 cm but has a scabby top. Doesn't seem to be bothering her. Dh thinks it's a battle wound, but I'm worried it could be worse. Do I take her to the vets, or leave it a few days?

Am I too early for cat people?

Lump and scabby wound - mostly likely cause abscess. If it gets bigger she is likely to need antibiotics.

Thanks lonecat. I think I will take her anyway. She was definitely in a skirmish last week, as she came home caked in mud.
