Do you ever wondered why they do it?

On the way to school there is a cat who always approaches children for petting.

If you watch it, it goes to every child. It trots along and is very gentle.

It lives about four streets away and you see it going down there and back 'doing the school run'

It's a lovely cat, but I do worry that 300 stokes per day might make her fur fall out!

awww sounds like a lovely cat he/she [probably just knows all the children from them walking past each day, when my kids were at school they had a certain house on the way where there was a friendly old english sheep dog who liked to say hello and another house where there was a tabby cat who liked a stroke before letting them go to school

She enjoys the love as many of them do. As long as she's the one making the running, that's great.

Oh yes, the reason why I was watching her was because there was some rowdy kids and I wanted to be sure they didn't chase her, but she melted them all!

What an adorable cat! Hopefully the 300+ strokes will just stimulate her hair to carry on growing. And more seriously I hope she carries on melting the rowdy kids and they don't chase her!
